Poker Hands Ranking Listed from Best to Worst
Royal Flush: Cards from 10 to Ace all in same suit. Example A K Q J 10 all hearts.
Straight Flush: Any 5 card straight all in the same suit. Example 4 5 6 7 8 all spades.
4 of a Kind: 4 cards all the same. Example K K K K
Full House: Three of a kind plus a pair. Example 9 9 9 A A
Flush: Any 5 cards that are all in the same suit. Example 3 7 8 J A all in clubs
Straight: Any 5 cards in consecutive order not in any 1 suit. Example 5h 6s 7h 8d 9c
Three of a Kind: 3 cards all the same. Example 5 5 5
2 Pair: 2 of the same cards plus 2 other cards the same as each other. Example 2 2 7 7
1 Pair: 2 of the same cards. Example Q Q
High Card: High card wins if no one has made any of the above. Ace is the highest possible card. If more than 1 person had an ace then the highest second card would determine the winner.
An Ace can also be used as a 1 to make a straight or for a straight flush. Example A 2 3 4 5
